5. Planetary formation and geology

Built Solar System §9, §12.1, §19.

The table of version 1 stands: accretion, core, first crust, bombardment, outgassing, oceans, continents, plate tectonics that begin, rift, weld and end, supercontinents detected rather than scripted, relief from the plates, and the magnetic field.

New: the history of life now has asteroid impacts, large igneous provinces and glaciations as disturbances (Evolution to Sapience – Build Notes). Each acts as a mass event in the biosphere’s record. The Creation (section 18) keeps a world’s plates and land but remakes its air and sea in an instant (terraform()).

Still to build Erosion, and ice ages in the map

The land does not change once made (framework gap). The glaciations of the biology module lower the sea in the biosphere’s own record, not in the map, so there are no ice sheets, land bridges or sea-level changes on the map itself.
